“We may encounter many defeats but we must not be defeated”-Maya Angelou

I specialize in  therapies aimed at reducing the effects from early developmental abuse or neglect resulting in stress related issues such as depression, anxiety, anger, excessive worrying, PTSD, Fibromyalgia, addictions of all kinds, phobias, psycho-somatic body pain.

I find that most mental health symptoms have their origin from very stressful or shocking events rather than being deficits or disorders. These symptoms can effectively and rather quickly be resolved using these  two 21 Century neuroscience based modalities.  Somatic Experiencing(SE®), a body focused therapy that helps re-regulate the nervous system.  NARM-Neuro-Affective Relational Model is a gentle approach working in the present moment befriending repressed/disowned/dissociated emotions, thoughts, feelings. Old dysfunctional patterns now accessed, witnessed are reframed and and can be released. This reorganizing process actually rewires  the brain’s neuro-plasticity and this effects and re-regulates the nervous system

Utilizing these cutting edge Mind/Body modalities , we can redirect your nervous system to re-gain it’s emotional balance.  Our caregivers  most often were doing their best, but just were not equipped to handle their emotions or to attune to your needs. As a result you had to develop dysfunctional behaviors or reactions as ways to cope with those scared and uncomfortable feelings.
